Physician Assistants
LEYSIN FLETCHER completed her Physician Assistant training at Midwestern University Graduate School in Glendale, Arizona in 2003. Prior to attending P.A. school she attended the University of Colorado at Boulder and graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Kinesiology. Leysin has spent several years working in general/cosmetic dermatology and is experienced with multiple laser treatments.
Prior to joining Dermatology/Cosmetic Laser Associates of La Jolla, Leysin practiced general dermatology and family practice in Scottsdale, Arizona.
Leysin is a member of the American Academy of Physician Assistants and the Society of Dermatology Physician Assistants. Her areas of interest and expertise include:
- Photorejuvenation of the face, neck, and chest
- Photodynamic Therapy
- Laser Hair Removal
- BOTOX Therapy
JOANNA NICHOLSON completed her training as a Physician Assistant at the University of Southern California in 2001. She received the Ethel Gardner P.E.O. scholarship award and was on the Deans List during both the didactic and clinical phase of training. She received her Bachelor of Science degree from San Diego State University where she majored in Exercise Science and Biology, and where she received her Athletic Training Certification.
Prior to joining Goldman Butterwick Keel Dermatology of La Jolla, Inc., Ms. Nicholson practiced general dermatology, laser treatments, surgical assisting, hair transplantation, Botox treatments, sclerotherapy procedures and as a Physician Assistant in Emergency Medicine. She is a member of the American Association of Physician Assistants and the Society of Dermatology Physician Assistants.
