Dr. Sabrina G. Fabi

Dr. Sabrina Guillen Fabi is double board-certified in Dermatology and Dermatologic Cosmetic Surgery.  She serves as the head of the research department at the practice, and is actively involved in multiple clinical studies, including Phase III FDA clinical trials.  She believes in optimally enhancing the appearance of her patients by combining state of the art technology, with the most up to date medical evidence, and an advanced skill set.

Dr. Fabi sees all dermatologic conditions, but specializes in the following cosmetic procedures:

• Non-invasive skin-tightening and contouring with devices such as Ulthera and Exilis
• Volume restoration of the face with injectables such as Juvederm, Restylane, Sculptra, Radiesse & LaViv
• Cosmetic laser surgery
• Botox/Dysport/Xeomin
• Photodynamic therapy (PDT)
• Liposculpture
• CoolSculpting with Zeltiq
• Sclerotherapy
• Endovenous ablation of varicose veins
• Fat transfer
• Medical dermatology – including acne

Dr. Fabi was born and raised in Chicago.  She obtained her medical degree at the University of Illinois at Chicago College of Medicine where she stayed to complete her Dermatology residency training. Further cosmetic surgery training included the completion of a fellowship through the American Academy of Cosmetic Surgery here at the practice.

Her interest in medical research has taken her to Mali, Africa through a program sponsored by the National Institutes of Health, where she contributed in the research and development of the malaria vaccine.  Her continued interest in global dermatologic conditions has also taken her to the National Skin Centre in Singapore.

Dr. Fabi has published numerous articles in multiple peer-reviewed dermatology journals, in addition to coauthoring various book chapters on laser surgery.  She lectures both nationally and internationally on aesthetic dermatology issues, and has appeared as a medical correspondent on Fox5 News San Diego.  She is also trains physicians regionally and globally on Ulthera.

Her continued interest in advancing the field of medicine through research won her the 2010 Cutting Edge Research Grant through the American Academy of Dermatologic Surgery and the Young Investigator’s Writing Competition in the Journal of Dermatologic Surgery.

In her free time Dr. Fabi enjoys spending time with family and friends.  She loves to travel with her husband, seeing the world first hand, and learning about various cultures, languages, and art.  Being of Hispanic descent, Dr. Fabi is fluent in Spanish.
