Thank you for taking interest in our research studies at GB&A Cosmetic Laser Dermatology. We work hard to remain at the forefront of laser and cosmetic surgery research, while maintaining the highest industry standards.
Our studies are conducted by Board Certified Dermatologists in pursuit of advancing the field of cosmetic and laser dermatology, while optimizing the appearance of your skin in the process.
Many of our studies are used in the process of gaining FDA approval for specific topical medications, injectable products, lasers, and other devices. Thus, you can rest assured that you will be safe while participating in any of our studies, as each adheres to strict safety standards.

- Treatment to minimize abdominal fat using a series of injections. This novel medical procedure involves injections placed directly into areas of excess abdominal fat. Among other prerequisites, to qualify, patients must have had a stable diet, exercise regimen, and weight for at least three months prior to the study.

- Restoration of volume to the backs of the hands using a novel fat harvesting device and fat taken from another part of your own body. Although the procedure fee is waived for those who qualify, patients are responsible for the operating room and lab fees.

- SmoothShapes treatments to lessen the appearance of cellulite after liposuction of the abdomen/flanks/thighs. Although the price of the series of SmoothShapes treatments is waived for those who qualify, patients are responsible for liposuction fees.

- Rosacea treatment using the combination of a topical medication and light emitting device.

- Laser Hair Removal for upper legs. This is offered at a 50% discount off the normal price of a series of three treatments. Participants must be female and have darker skin to qualify.

Future Studies. . .
- Treatment of varicose veins (large bulging leg veins) using a novel injected foam technique.
Enrollment projected to begin in August or September, 2010.
- Treatment of spider veins on the legs with a new injected foam preparation. To qualify, patients must not have undergone sclerotherapy treatments in the previous six months or have a history of deep vein thromboses (clots in the deep leg veins).

- Reduction in the appearance of cellulite on the thighs using a novel topical preparation.

- Improvement of age-related facial volume loss and skin texture changes with a treatment combining an injectible filler and a therapeutic medical skincare regimen.

- Restoration of volume to thinning/wrinkling skin of the décolletage area (neck/chest) using a long-lasting, poly-L lactic acid filler.
Start date pending.
- Softening of “crow’s feet” (wrinkles around outer parts of the eyes) through participation in one of the following three separate studies:
•Use a cream containing a growth factor to stimulate collagen formation.
•Use a cream containing a topical preparation of botulinum toxin.
•Use of a varying number of injections of botulinum toxin into areas.
