Radiesse_logoRadiesse is an injectable filler (formerly known as Radiance) made of calcium-based microspheres used for wrinkle reduction. At GBFGF Cosmetic Laser Dermatology, our dermatologists are world-renowned injectors of San Diego Radiesse with an unparalleled level of expertise.

When we are young our skin contains natural collagen.  It’s this natural collagen that makes young skin strong, flexible and full of natural volume. However, as we age, collagen breaks down, resulting in less facial elasticity and volume. Radiesse injections immediately provide volume and lift back to your face. The filler works by stimulating your body’s own collagen production for long-lasting correction and smoothing.

What is Radiesse used for?

Radiesse adds back lost volume by supplying your skin with the materials it needs to naturally produce collagen again.  When your skin can naturally produce collagen, volume and elasticity come back and you begin to “look younger”! The benefits of Radiesse include:

  • Immediate results. Once injected, wrinkle correction occurs immediately.
  • Collagenesis. Radiesse promotes the production of new collagen.
  • Long lasting. Radiesse has been clinically proven to last up to a year in some patients.
  • Less discomfort. Radiesse now comes mixed with lidocaine (a numbing agent) to make the injections less painful.

How is Radiesse Injected?

San Diego Radiesse treatments are quick, with immediately visible results. The volumizing filler is injected into the desired area. The Radiesse injections replenish your facial volume to create a refreshed appearance. Radiesse injections can be used for the following treatments:

  • Reshape the nose (non-surgical nose job)
  • Lift the depressed folds that run from the sides of your nose down to your mouth
  • Cheek augmentation
  • Chin augmentation
  • Hand rejuvenation
